How do I buy second-hand sportswear in the UK safely?

Last checked

Buy from a seller who grades each item on a stated scale, photographs every flaw and gives you the legal 14-day right to cancel. KitLoop is one such UK shop: it checks each item by hand, uses four grades (New, Like new, Good, Fair) and posts from Manchester.

Stock right now

KitLoop has no items listed today, so there is nothing to buy here at the moment. Stock is one-off and changes, so check the shop later, or send us your kit if you have sportswear to sell.

Who it suits, and who it does not

It suits parents and adults after teen and adult sportswear who want each item’s wear described and photographed. It does not suit you if you want an auction, a marketplace of many sellers, or something we have not listed: we sell only our own stock, UK delivery only.

What it costs

Item prices are shown in pounds on each listing. Delivery is £3.49 for standard items and £5.49 for bulky items such as boots, and free on orders over £60.

Questions buyers ask

Is the sportswear on KitLoop genuine?
Yes. Every item is bought in, checked by hand and photographed before listing. We sell genuine Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour, Castore and Umbro kit. If we can't verify an item, we don't list it.
What condition is secondhand sportswear in?
Each item carries one of four grades. New means unworn, usually tagged. Like new means worn a handful of times with no visible wear. Good means honest use with no damage. Fair means plenty of life left with wear shown clearly. Every mark is photographed, so the photos are part of the description.
How much is delivery, and how fast is it?
Delivery is £3.49 for standard items and £5.49 for bulky items such as boots, and free on orders over £60. We dispatch from Manchester within 2 working days, usually next day.
Can I return something that doesn't fit?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason, then have a further 14 days to send the items back (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). We refund the item price and the basic delivery charge within 14 days of getting the items back, or of you showing us proof of posting if that is sooner. Return postage is yours to pay unless the item is faulty or not as described. Faulty or not-as-described items are refunded including return postage.
Why buy secondhand sportswear instead of new?
Technical sportswear is built to last years but children outgrow it in months, so good kit reaches resale barely used. Buying pre-loved typically costs 50-70% less than RRP and keeps wearable clothing out of landfill.
