KitLoop started the way most good ideas do — with a problem stacked on the landing. Boots worn one season. A tracksuit that fitted for eight months. Training tops still smelling of new.

Decent sportswear is built to last years but gets used for months, and the gap between those two numbers is money down the drain — or it's KitLoop. We're a father-and-son team in Manchester: one of us hunts and checks the kit, the other photographs, lists and posts it.

The grading promise

• New — unworn, usually tagged.
• Like new — worn a handful of times, no visible wear.
• Good — honest use, no damage; any bobbling or small marks photographed.
• Fair — plenty of life left, wear clearly shown and priced accordingly.

Every zip gets zipped, every stud gets counted, every mark gets photographed. If the photos and the description disagree, the photos win — and if we got it wrong, returns are on us.
